With the logo, I was trying to get a feel for the letters and this word. I was initially thinking it should be in a sans-serif type, but after looking for mood board images I think it would be neat to have it in a serif or handwritten style type. I chose these specific images for the layers of solid color. I wanted it to look a bit different from last year's logo, which I thought had too much white.
